Highway access → arrival
Arrival: Leiffer-Ellsworth trailhead about 0.4 mile up Walker Road.
Approach: From northbound US-101 join US 199 toward Grants Pass. Turn onto Walker Road from US 199 and continue about 0.4 mile to the marked trailhead parking.
Use the relevant visitor lot; campground fees and vehicle limits differ. Seasonal walking bridges to Stout Grove are removed and are not a vehicle shortcut.
Official directions & access ↗A 2.6-mile Jedediah Smith loop that follows part of the nineteenth-century Crescent City Plank Road before descending through old-growth forest. The map point identifies the loop, not parking.
