Highway access → arrival
Arrival: Hatton trailhead on the south side of US 199 opposite the Simpson-Reed area.
Approach: From northbound US-101 join US 199 toward Grants Pass. Use the marked Hatton trailhead parking on US 199; do not assume the Walker Road lot is a safe highway crossing.
Use the relevant visitor lot; campground fees and vehicle limits differ. Seasonal walking bridges to Stout Grove are removed and are not a vehicle shortcut.
Official directions & access ↗A short 0.3-mile forest connector on the south side of Highway 199, across from Simpson-Reed Grove, leading toward Hatton–Hiouchi Trail. The map point identifies the trail, not parking.
