- Platforms, a gazebo, and a photo blind support wetland and bird viewing; sightings are not guaranteed.
- Trail
- The Shorebird Loop is a level 1.7-mile gravel trail; pets, bicycles, jogging, and horses are prohibited to reduce wildlife disturbance.
- Public water access
- No visitor boat launch is represented at the Salmon Creek visitor area.
- Water conditions
- The Hookton Slough trail and launch are a separate unit with separate closures.
