Highway access → arrival
Arrival: Rhododendron north trailhead on the east side, mile marker 130.54.
Approach: From US-101 use the southern Newton B. Drury Scenic Parkway entrance. Continue north on the scenic parkway to the marked Rhododendron trailhead and its limited parking.
Observe posted parking and road restrictions. Current trail closures may limit the onward hike; the arrival record is not an all-clear for the entire trail.
Official directions & access ↗A 6.3-mile Prairie Creek trail through old-growth forest, named for the rhododendrons that bloom most visibly in late spring and early summer. The map point identifies the trail, not parking.
