Davison Road / Elk Meadow
Arrival: Gold Bluffs Beach campground entrance on Davison Road.
Approach: Continue west on Davison Road from US-101 beyond Elk Meadow to the beach campground; follow campground signs.
Narrow road; no trailers, vehicles limited to 24 feet. Fern Canyon approach includes stream crossings. Current reservation rules take precedence over older trail pages.
Official directions & access ↗A remote developed campground behind Gold Bluffs Beach, reached by narrow unpaved Davison Road. Trailers are prohibited and NPS limits larger vehicles on the access road.

- The campground provides direct access to coastal scenery and nearby forest routes.

- Signed routes connect toward Fern Canyon and the Coastal Trail.

- Ocean-beach access does not establish safe swimming or launching conditions.
- Water conditions
- NPS prohibits trailers and vehicles over the published length limit. Check reservations, road conditions, tides, surf, and fire restrictions.
